Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Thaumiel

Special Containment Procedures: Access to SCP-XXXX is allowed only to new members of the O5 Council who have not yet visited the facility. Anyone else approaching the area is to be terminated on sight.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a concrete basement located under a nondescript stone building in south-eastern Sri Lanka; the only marking of note is a metal placard bolted above the door bearing the words "Department of Abnormalities".

The basement contains thirteen glass aquariums on stone pedestals, arranged radially around a steel sculpture of the Foundation logo embedded into the ground. Each aquarium contains a single instance of SCP-XXXX-1, an abnormally small giant moray eel (Gymnothorax javanicus) measuring approximately 30cm long. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are typically sedentary and appear to require no sustenance, though they will become agitated when approached, causing them to excrete a thin layer of a viscous, dark red substance.

SCP-XXXX-1 instances are Class V cognitohazardous entities; direct observation of an instance will cause the observer to be overcome with the need to consume the substance excreted by the instance.

Each of the stone pedestals bears a small metal placard, marked with "O5-1" through to "O5-13" sequentially in a clockwise direction.
